Since receiving funding from Paisley 2021 and the Culture, Events & Heritage Fund in 2016 Karen Hanvidge Ceramics has organised and taken ceramic hand building workshops for both adults and children at Paisley Museum. She has taken introductory and slightly more advanced classes. She has also taken some organised one off workshops working with the elderly and women's groups. We gather much of our inspiration from personal tales, the environment, and cultures around the world. Their pieces embody some of their own life experiences. She takes great pleasure out of introducing the medium of clay into people's lives for sometimes the first time.
Karen Hanvidge Ceramics creates colourful and abstract ceramics which are both decorative and functional. Each piece is handcrafted with individual shapes.
